oh, and another thing.

I have insomnia. You can tell my my time posts that it's really really annoying.
And also, okra is in season now, and I actually felt up to preparing and frying some tonight. I bought some from a charming man in North Lawrence (on North Street just past the busses if you're interested... he has tomaters and potatoes, too).
My fried okra:
Rinse one pound or more okra and drain.
Slice into little bitty bite size pieces.
Toss with corn meal and Tony Chachere's Cajun seasoning.
Fry in olive oil.
Drain on paper towels and eat with fingers with a friend.

It was great to see you out and at Megan's party! What a relief that you feel like, and can eat again! Let's dine out again soon.

mmmm, okra. I get it at the Jin Shan. Not bad.

I dated a German when I lived in Austin. At dinner one night, he picked up a piece of pickled okra off his plate (it was a garnish) and said, "What is this fuzzy thing?" He ate it, but I don't think he liked it.

Glad to hear you are feeling better.
