What a difference a year makes...

Halloween 2006 and Halloween 2007.
Wow. Last year I was at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN on Halloween, and they reassured me that my abdominal/liver blood clots were not going to rupture and kill me, at least not in the immediate future. They also told me I was in early menopause and it would not be advisable or likely that I'd have children in the future.
Yeah, whatEVER.
Strange things happen. Hope those blood clots hold out for a few more years.
I got a letter in the mail today that must have been mailed by Unity Church... I believe that we wrote ourselves letters at the end of the year in 2006 and put in our hopes for the year 2007. I guess they mailed it to us now so in case we are running behind we can hurry up and achieve those things before the end of the year.
Here is what I hoped for in 2007
To surrender and LET GO... not to try to control everything, cuz I can't anyway!
To be open to lessons and opportunities for growth.
To release my fears surrounding love and intimacy.
To connect with someone special with similar goals and dreams.
To let go of old habits regarding health and wellness.
To prioritize BALANCE in my life
*AA/Maintaining a healthy program for my sobriety
*Friends/love
*Family
*Love for others... how can I help others?
*How can I best live by example and do the right thing?
So... I need to quit smoking. I need to go to regular meetings and call my AA sponsor, I miss her.
I need to eat better and monitor my diabetes more responsibly.
Ummm. regarding letting go and being open to lessons and love and all that stuff, pretty much got all that covered in the past year, don't you think?

A long strange trip in one short year. The photo of grace is so cute! She would fit right in at my house...(see the blog on my ladybug infestation).
