Updates

www.KraftyKallipalooza.blogspot.com new site, should be up and running as soon as I get a chance to borrow the digital camera to highlight my current krafty obsessions.

www.kallipaloozabooks.blogspot.com same old bookshelf, new books.

It is unbelievably gorgeous out today. It makes me want to open all the windows and clean the house. No, really.

Unfortunately, I am at the jobby job and need to do some worky work.

There was a great party on Saturday night at the house where Andy used to live. It was lovely, tons of good food and drink. I ran into a new friend while there, and had a blast chatting with her. This is what she brought to the party. Is this not the cutest idea EVER? I am hereby stealing it and will make it for every event possible.

You know that I also had to pose the penguins in various naughty positions when other people weren't looking. Hee.

Dirty, dirty debacle...

Haiku composed while listening to Max and Bob today...

Slick spot on the floor.
Everything is not good.
Bodies go after it.

Bill Self rubbing his
forehead...Villanova...like
best team in country, today?

Danny Manning on
the sidelines looking so sad.
KU needs to score.

Cry, J.R. Giddens.
Cry, you big crybaby, you.
Make some shots, ok?

Well, Bob, sometimes it
just ain't your day, and today
is one of those days.

Red Uniforms suck.
Play better with blue or white.
No more red, please, Bill.

Things I am excited about... today.

*Upcoming performance in "The Vagina Monologues"... hot diggity!!
*Rehearsal for this on Sunday... after "Knit'n'bitch" at Heather's Sunday morning, and before book club... for which I have not yet begun to read the damn book. The Count of Monte Cristo... sigh.
*New books from yesterday's trip to TSCL (Topeka Shawnee County Library) and stop at *RedLobster on the way home. I know, it's disgusting but I just had to do it. The cheddar bay biscuits and shrimp skanky were calling me.
*Queens' float for St. Patrick's Day... I hear green sequins calling my name. I wonder if I could knit myself a big green dress for this event.
*Speaking of knitting, this http://blogs.lawrence.com/vonholten/chick cracked me up with her rant about the Knifty Knitter... not to mention the responses it provoked.
*mmmm. I'm getting a massage at 3:45, courtesy of my friend Brad's gift to me 6 months ago. I can't wait, now that I've waited this long.
Anyhoo, it's Friday, and that's a very good thing.

Books books books

Miz Robyn of bitchypoo.com http://robynanderson.com/reading/ last year.
It made me jealous, wishing that I had kept track of what and how much I read. My house sure is dirty! I am behind on my paperwork! I don't pay bills on time! Those are the most tangible signs of how much I read.
So I started a Kallipalooza's bookshelf page. In case anyone else cares as much as I do about what books I am reading and what I really thought of them. http://www.kallipaloozabooks.blogspot.com
So go there and check it out.

Family Reunion and stuff...

December 27, 2004-January 1, 2005
What a great reunion. Fester is a member of a family with 5 siblings, total, and they are all great, with nice spouses and cool kids. As an only child, I consider myself lucky to not only hang out with Fester, who helps me relive my second childhood on a daily basis, but also to be part of his fabulous family. Their parents are awesome, too.

We are settling in for a nice ice storm this evening, hopefully it will be bad enough to cancel school/work, and not so bad that we lose power. I know I am walking a thin line on that one.

Hope and prayers and such to all who are affected by the tsunami. It's inconcievable and horrific, and I've been hearing about one families' struggles first-hand from my co-worker Beth, who is stronger than I would be right now about her missing cousin. http://www.benabels.com
Beth is one of those positive people who makes your day better each time you see her, I imagine her family is also that way.
